Good evening, rocketeers!

There are a few things I'd like to point out that will be helpful to everyone attending AIRFest 16. Please take a few moments to read these items.

• The waiver for the duration of the event is 34,500' MSL (that's about 33,250' AGL). All flights expected to go to 23,000' and above at KLOUDBusters launches require 30 days advance notice and pre-approval from the KLOUDBusters prefect. High altitude flights lacking prior approval will not be permitted.
• Friday (9/3/2010) and Monday (9/6/2010) will be conducted under the Tripoli Research Safety Code. All flyers participating in Friday or Monday launches must be Tripoli members over 18 years of age. Saturday (9/4/2010) and Sunday (9/5/2010) will be commercial days and everyone can participate.
• The range set-up will be different from our usual set-up. Please observe all barriers, markings and requests from Launch staff regarding traffic flow and parking – it will be different than we're used to. The pads will be set-up WEST of the pasture this year and there will be a "No Vehicles" lane along the west fence line.
• High profile RV's and campers with generators should park their vehicles toward the EAST side of the pasture to help avoid blocking others view and disturbing folks at night.
• Registration will open at 8:00am each day. Range opens at 9:00am. Pre-registered flyers may pick-up their flyer's packet at registration. When picking-up your packet, please take a moment to double check everything is in order. There will be a limited number of extra t-shirts and Burger Blast tickets available.
• AIRFest 16 high-power Flyers must bring the following pieces of identification: 1) Positive Photo ID; and, 2) Active TRA or NAR membership card --OR-- Other Certification level documentation (if different that membership card.) Registration personnel will check your HPR certification.
• Please be aware: there will NOT be bagged ice available on-site this year, so fill your coolers before you head out to the pasture. The Argonia Mart has been notified of this change.
• Please observe posted speed limits when traveling through Argonia this weekend. Some areas are as low as 20mph. Once you leave Argonia, the speed limit by statute for the county road is 55mph. The sheriff has been ticketing speeders recently along the entire stretch between US160 and K44 highways.
• For your safety and comfort, please protect yourself with shade, sunscreen and bug spray; drink plenty of water and/or sports drinks; and, tell a buddy when you leave the pasture to recover a rocket.
