Coming off our annual 3 months break to allow the farmers to work the fields in the area of the Argonia Rocket Pasture Kansas rocketeers are anxious to get out and fly some rockets. To fulfill that need, KLOUDBusters in 2009 introducted a new 2-day Research event: Sweaty BALLS. Why that name? Well ... You can figure that out for yourself. Suffice it to say: Sweaty BALLS is a launch for anyone who is serious about high power rocketry - no pretenders.

Sweaty BALLS IV is TRA Research Safety Code both days and is limited to ADULT ONLY TRA MEMBERS. There will be no Model Rocket area set-up for this launch.

Work Session:
Friday 7/6/2012 - 5:00pm-ish - Includes mowing, weed-whacking and rail cleaning. If enough folks show-up, we'll start range set-up. If not, we'll just hang out and shoot the breeze.

Range Hours:
Saturday 7/7/2012 - 8:00am Range Set-up
Range open around 9:00AM to 6:00pm
Sunday 7/8/2012 - Range hours 9:00am to 5:00pm

Range Fees:
$15 for non-members; FREE for members

Sparky Status:
As of right now, we are in a "GO" condition for sparky motors. We received an update that the fields have been worked or burned-off, so sparky motors will be permitted. If anything at the field dictates a change for safety reasons, we'll make the call on-site.

Saturday Cookout:
We're going to have a cook-out at the field on Saturday after the range closes. KLOUDBusters will provide burgers, dogs, buns, and baked beans for the cookout. Please bring a side dish (salad, chips, etc.) or dessert to share and your own beverage. We need an approximate headcount, so if you're planning on joining us for the Post Launch cookout on Saturday, please drop a note to president@kloudbusters.org with the number attending the cookout. If you bring something that needs to refrigerated, find a KLOUDBusters member and we can get your food item safely in the fridge.

It looks right now that it could be a scorcher this year, so you need to bring plenty of water and/or sports drinks ... and bring shade, sunscreen and bug spray so you don't get sunstroke, sunburned and eaten alive.
